NFHS (National Federation of State High School Associations) does not publish its own court-flooring material standard — high-school spec sheets typically reference ASTM F2772 directly, plus governing-body court-marking dimensions. Permanent multi-sport court lines are inlaid using water-jet-cut color rubber, not painted on top of the wear surface. ECORE Performance lines support custom-color and inlay work with no minimum order — basketball, volleyball, and pickleball lines can all live on the same floor, color-coded so each sport reads cleanly.

Inlaid lines are part of the floor itself, so they don't wear off the way paint does on the high-traffic key area or under volleyball serve lines. Performance Motivate and Motivate Plus run a smoother laminate top, which is the right answer when true ball-bounce on basketball or volleyball is the priority. The vulcanized rubber base still meets ASTM F2772 force reduction; the laminate just gives the ball a more consistent rebound off the floor than an open-grain rubber wear surface. The underlying impact-attenuation physics for ball sports is governed by ASTM F355 (G-Max impact attenuation via Clegg-machine protocol), and rolling-traffic resilience for portable backstops, scoreboard carts, and bleacher-mover equipment is published against ASTM F2662 (dynamic load).

Trade-off to know: Motivate's smoother top reads more like a sport-court vinyl than the open-grain rubber feel of Rally.
