14 ECORE Products for Yoga & Pilates Studios
A studio floor isn't one thing — the yoga room needs a smooth top that doesn't bunch a mat, the reformer suite needs density that keeps the carriage stable through every spring change, the hot-yoga room needs humidity tolerance, and the barre / dance floor needs sprung-floor responsiveness without the slip-and-bunch. These ECORE Motivate, Rally, and Beast laminate rolls (plus the studio-safe E-Cleaner / E-Strip / E-Finish maintenance line) map to those zones: vulcanized recycled-rubber manufactured in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, FloorScore-certified for indoor air quality, and warranty-backed through Blue Sky Fitness Supply as your ECORE dealer.

The line items studio franchises and independent owners verify before signing a PO for a build-out floor — authorized dealer credentialing, smooth-top finishes that don't bunch yoga mats, athletic-flooring performance standards, and indoor-air-quality certification for hot-yoga rooms where members breathe humid air for 60 minutes a class.

Smooth-Top Finishes
Motivate laminate rolls give you the smooth, sealed top yoga mats grip without bunching — not the textured weight-room finish that catches mat corners and frustrates members mid-flow.
-

Made in USA — Lancaster, PA
Manufactured in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Vulcanized recycled-rubber construction — not cheap imported tire-crumb that off-gasses or carries Prop 65 styrene warnings unsafe for an enclosed studio.
-

ASTM F2772 Athletic Standard
Force reduction, vertical deformation, and surface friction tested to the ASTM F2772 athletic-flooring standard. Critical for sprung-floor responsiveness in barre / dance and reformer-carriage stability.
-

FloorScore Indoor Air Quality
FloorScore-certified across major ECORE product lines. Critical for hot-yoga rooms, enclosed reformer suites, and barre studios where members breathe the room air at elevated heart rates for the full class.

Map your studio before you commit. Free to use — and useful for visualizing reformer rows, mat lanes, barre runs, and instructor space before you spec the floor.
9 FAQs Every Yoga & Pilates Buyer Asks
Yes — on the smooth-top Motivate laminate line, which is the right call for a yoga or hot-yoga room. Most rubber gym flooring fails in a yoga studio for the same reason: the textured weight-room top that grips a barbell catches the corners of a yoga mat and bunches it the moment a member steps from downward dog into warrior. ECORE's Motivate laminate has a smooth, sealed top finish purpose-built for studios where mats slide flat and stay flat through a full flow.
If your studio mixes a yoga room with cross-training space, your Commercial Fitness Advisor will spec different ECORE lines for each zone — Motivate smooth-top laminate in the yoga room, Performance Rally textured in the strength area — bundled on the same quote with freight included as a line item.
Not on properly-spec'd ECORE laminate. The reformer-stability problem on rubber is real on the wrong product: a 6-7mm soft fitness roll under a 200 lb reformer with a 150 lb client moving through carriage transitions will compress unevenly and let the frame rock. The fix is density — we spec a denser Motivate Plus or Beast laminate under reformer rows, which holds a stable footprint while the smooth top still gives you the studio finish.
For mixed reformer-and-mat-pilates studios, your fitness expert will typically spec the denser laminate under the reformer rows and a thinner Motivate in the mat zone — same product family, different thickness, color-matched across the floor. The quote shows both line items so you can see the price difference per zone before locking it in.
Yes — ECORE laminate is built for hot-yoga humidity loads where vinyl, foam, and many sport-court products fail. The vulcanized recycled-rubber base is dimensionally stable under repeated heat-and-humidity cycling (heat up to class, sweat saturation during, cool-down and dry between). The sealed Motivate top resists sweat absorption and wipes down with standard studio cleaner between sessions; for the wet-area transition into the locker room, HydroGrip Motivate handles the wet-to-dry zone the rest of the laminate isn't intended for.
For hot-yoga specifically, FloorScore IAQ certification matters more than in any other vertical — members breathe the room air at elevated heart rates and respiratory volumes for 60+ minutes. ECORE's FloorScore certification on Motivate lines is the indoor-air-quality signal we put in front of studio franchise reviewers and landlords every time.
Yes — with the right thickness spec. True sprung dance floors use suspended sub-floor systems, but for the modern barre, contemporary-dance, or fusion studio that doesn't want a custom sub-floor build, ECORE's denser Motivate laminate lines are tested to ASTM F2772 for force reduction under jumps, plies, and barre work — without the slip-and-bunch failure mode of vinyl marley over concrete. Your Commercial Fitness Advisor can pull the manufacturer's force-reduction test data for the specific spec on your quote so your design team can verify the number.
If you're running a heavy ballet or jazz program with serious aerial or leap work, your fitness expert will talk through whether a built-up sprung sub-floor under ECORE makes sense for your specific program. The smooth-top laminate finish works either way.
Yes — sound and vibration absorption is one of ECORE's core engineering characteristics. The vulcanized rubber base attenuates the spring-snap, carriage-roll, and footfall noise that travels through a hard sub-floor into a neighboring tenant or the unit below. This is the make-or-break call for ground-floor studios in mixed-use buildings where the lease has a noise-transfer clause. We can pair ECORE laminate with an acoustical underlayment (QTscu, which carries a lifetime warranty) for the most demanding noise budgets.
If your build-out is on a second story over retail or below residential, your Territory Sales Manager will talk through thickness and underlayment options on the quote — sometimes a thicker laminate spec wins on the noise-budget math even if the room itself doesn't need the extra impact rating.
Every ECORE Athletic product is manufactured in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The Lancaster address appears on every Technical Data Sheet, and Buy American Act / BABA compliance documentation is available from ECORE on request.
For independent studios it's a story your members appreciate. For franchise build-outs (CorePower, YogaWorks, Club Pilates, Pure Barre, etc.) Made-in-USA construction sidesteps the disqualifying-warning issues some imported recycled-tire-crumb products carry — California Prop 65 styrene warnings are a non-starter when the franchise corporate-design team reviews your spec package. We provide W-9 and EIN on request as standard practice.
ECORE supports custom colors and water-jet-cut inlaid logos on Performance and Motivate lines at no minimum order — per-unit pricing drops as quantity increases. We can match brand-book colors (most studio brands have specific Pantone references), inlay a logo at the studio entrance, or run an accent stripe down the reformer rows.
Standard rolls run 4-6 weeks lead time; custom-color and water-jet-inlay runs 5-7 weeks. Logo inlays need a clean vector file (.AI, .EPS, or .SVG). Send your brand kit to your Commercial Fitness Advisor and we'll work the file through ECORE production, then ship a free FedEx Ground sample (about a week) to confirm the color before the order locks. One thing to know: custom-color and custom-inlay orders are non-returnable, which is why we always sample first. Standard-color returns carry a 20% restocking fee.
Full manufacturer warranty backing through Blue Sky Fitness Supply as your authorized ECORE Athletic dealer. If a claim comes up, you go to Blue Sky and we handle it with ECORE on your behalf — you don't get the "go direct to the manufacturer" runaround that plagues B2B buyers of commercial flooring from generic resellers.
Warranty length by line: HydroGrip Motivate carries 5 years; Bounce 2 Motivate Class I, Heritage Motivate, Baller / Balanced / Restorative / Serenity Motivate Class I, and Baller Rally Class II carry 10 years prorated; Performance Rally and Beast carry 10 years prorated; Performance Motivate carries 5 years; ECORE acoustical underlayment (QTscu) is lifetime. Specific exclusions to know for studios: petroleum exposure (don't use degreasing cleaners), prolonged sub-floor moisture, and use outside the spec'd application. Your Territory Sales Manager will flag exclusions specific to your install on the quote.
Yes — ECORE’s Heritage Motivate Performance Vinyl Tile (PVT) is the rubber-backed vinyl plank built for commercial spec. 6″ x 48″ planks pair a 2mm vinyl wear surface with a 5mm vulcanized composition rubber base, fusion-bonded at the factory on ECORE’s itsTRU technology. Same wood-look aesthetic as standard LVT, with built-in acoustic and ergonomic performance LVT can’t match. For yoga and pilates studios, the rubber base is most useful for studio aesthetic with cushion and warmth a hardwood-floored studio loses on concrete subfloor.
Read the full PVT vs LVT comparison at /pages/commercial-vinyl-plank-flooring — covers the 7-pillar comparison, the headline numbers (10.6% force absorption, IIC 56 built-in, 146% LVT loudness penalty, 21 mil wear layer), and which vertical contexts each format is rated for.
3 Pain Points for Studio Owners
Public reviews of commercial flooring vendors show consistent failure modes — missed lead times, restocking-fee disputes on vendor errors, and warranty deflection from non-authorized resellers. These are universal across every commercial flooring vertical we serve, and the failure modes authorized-dealer status protects against.
On lead times
“Placed an order 11/19 that was supposed to ship 11/24-12/8. As of 12/13, it still hasn't shipped. This is for a commercial gym and the installer has us on his books starting tomorrow 12/14… Our new gym opens Jan 1 and we still don't have flooring! I of course can't get anyone on the phone.”

On vendor mistakes
“They sent me the wrong product, gave me 'you have to pay for shipping and a 25 percent restocking fee' for THEIR mistake, said this was a courtesy, and then claimed a clearly wrong order confirmation… that they sent me was part of a banner ad.”

On warranty disputes
“We started using the gym and noticed sharp metal pieces coming out of the flooring. We have pulled 19 twisted pieces of metal out of the flooring to date. They refuse to give me the manufacturer's name and after 2 months of back and forth, their solution was to tell me to apply a sealant. Laughable.”
