21 ECORE Products for Home Gyms
Premium home gyms aren't one room and they aren't one spec — a basement free-weight zone, a Peloton-and-cardio nook, a dedicated platform under a power rack, a pool-house yoga studio. These ECORE products map to those zones: commercial-grade vulcanized rubber manufactured in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, FloorScore-certified for indoor air quality, sound-dampening for upstairs living spaces, sub-floor-moisture-tolerant for basement and garage installs — finished to a luxury-residential aesthetic with custom colors and inlay options when the design brief calls for it.

6 Reasons Custom Home Builders Choose ECORE
What architects, GCs, and AV-integrators verify before spec'ing a gym floor into a luxury residential build — authorized dealer credentialing, athletic-flooring performance standards, indoor air quality for occupied living spaces, and a finish level that matches a $5M+ build.
-

Authorized ECORE Athletic Dealer (opens in new tab)
Direct-from-manufacturer pricing, factory tech support, full warranty backed. Blue Sky Fitness Supply is your authorized ECORE dealer for project + warranty service — not a generic reseller drop-shipping a brand we don't represent.
-

White-Glove Residential Delivery
Residential install access is its own discipline — basement stair access, finished-driveway protection, scheduled to your trim and AV-integration sequence. We coordinate freight, inside delivery, and timing with your site supervisor — not curbside pallet drop with a 4-hour window.
-

Made in USA — Lancaster, PA
Manufactured in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Vulcanized recycled-rubber construction — no off-gassing imported tire-crumb (and no California Prop 65 styrene warnings) inside the home.
-

ASTM F2772 Athletic Standard
Force reduction, ball rebound, and surface friction tested to the ASTM F2772 athletic-flooring standard. The same spec commercial gyms verify — installed inside the home so the owner gets club-quality underfoot performance.
-

FloorScore Indoor Air Quality
FloorScore-certified across major ECORE product lines. Critical when the gym sits below the bedroom suite or shares HVAC with the rest of the home — the IAQ certification AV-integrators and wellness-focused owners ask for by name.
-

Free Layout Designer (opens in new tab)
Visualize the home-gym layout before you commit — Peloton + free-weight zone, platform under the rack, cardio runner, transition lines to hardwood or tile. Free to use during design development and useful for client renderings.
9 FAQs Every Home Gym Buyer Asks
Yes — we offer white-glove residential delivery and basement-access logistics on request as a separately-quoted line item. Mention it on the quote request and we'll price it into your bundle. Standard freight on a 53-ft trailer with a 4-hour curbside window doesn't work on a finished driveway, and pallets of 14.5mm Performance roll don't fit down a finished basement stair without planning — so for premium residential builds, the white-glove option is what most owners and GCs choose.
What white-glove can include when quoted in: smaller box truck or shuttle off the LTL terminal, lift-gate by default, finished-floor protection on the route from the curb to the gym room, and timing coordinated against your trim and AV-integration sequence. Standard freight (LTL with liftgate) is included on every quote at no extra ask; the residential white-glove layer is the upgrade — let us know on the quote form and we'll price both options so you can compare.
It can, but the slab needs a moisture test before we spec the install method. Below-grade basement slabs almost always carry some vapor drive, and the wrong adhesive over a wet slab is the failure mode behind most basement-gym floor callbacks (lifting, edge curl, adhesive bleed-through).
If the gym sits over a crawl space or unconditioned slab, we'll flag underlayment options on the quote. The point: we won't spec an install that's going to fail in year two, even if it means slowing the schedule to test the slab first.
- Calcium chloride or relative-humidity test on the slab before adhesive spec — your GC or our installer can run it
- Loose-lay or double-sided tape install if the slab reads borderline — preserves the option to lift and re-bond later
- Moisture-tolerant E-Grip III adhesive for slabs within spec
- Sub-slab vapor barrier if the slab fails the test — that's a remediation conversation we'll route to your GC
With the right thickness and underlayment system, weight-drop noise transmission to the floor above is meaningfully reduced — but no rubber floor alone fully isolates a 405-lb deadlift drop from a bedroom directly above. Sound transmission is a system: floor + underlayment + ceiling assembly below. The underlying impact-attenuation physics that protects the substrate (and the joints) is governed by ASTM F355 — the G-Max impact-attenuation standard via Clegg-machine protocol that's the basis behind ECORE's published "up to 35.5% reduction in impact acceleration" on itsTRU products.
If the gym is on the second floor of a custom build, we'll recommend a structural conversation with the architect or framer — joist sistering and resilient-channel ceiling assemblies underneath multiply what the rubber alone can do. Free samples ship FedEx Ground (about a week) so you can test underfoot feel before locking the spec.
- For a basement gym (concrete slab below): 14.5mm Performance Rally handles drops with no upstairs concern — slab absorbs the energy
- For a gym above a finished room: 14.5mm Performance Rally plus an ECORE acoustical underlayment, plus a built-up Olympic platform under the rack to localize the heaviest drops
- For a Peloton-and-cardio-only zone above living space: 8-10.5mm rolls are usually enough
Yes — vulcanized rubber tolerates the temperature and humidity swings of an attached or detached garage conversion better than vinyl plank, laminate, or engineered hardwood. ECORE Performance and Fit Collection lines are spec'd for installs across commercial and athletic environments that aren't always tightly conditioned.
Caveats to plan for: extreme cold (sub-freezing) makes rubber stiffer and slightly less forgiving on impact — fine for storage, but for an active gym you want the space conditioned to at least 55-60°F when in use. If the garage will hold a vehicle on the same floor, ECORE warranties exclude petroleum exposure and vehicle-tire damage — we'd zone the gym side and use a different surface (urethane or epoxy) on the parking side. Glue selection also matters: in an unconditioned space we'll spec the adhesive that handles that thermal swing.
Plan the transition at the design stage, not the install stage — that's the difference between a high-end finish and a contractor-grade reveal. Rubber, hardwood, and tile all sit at different installed heights, so transitions need either a leveled sub-floor or a milled threshold detail.
We'll work directly with your GC or finish carpenter on transition detailing. Send us the adjacent-flooring spec and the finished-floor heights, and we'll come back with thickness and threshold recommendations on the quote.
- Aluminum or solid-bronze threshold strip — clean reveal, durable, what most luxury builders default to
- Custom-milled solid-wood threshold matched to the adjacent hardwood — premium aesthetic, longer lead time
- Flush transition (rubber and hardwood at the same finished height) — requires planning the sub-floor build-up before the rubber goes down. This is the cleanest visually but the most demanding to spec
- Tile-to-rubber via a Schluter profile — works when the gym opens onto a tiled bathroom or pool-house deck
Full manufacturer warranty backing through Blue Sky Fitness Supply as your authorized ECORE Athletic dealer — and if a claim ever comes up, you come to us first and we handle ECORE on your behalf. No 'we'll refer you to the manufacturer' runaround that's standard with generic resellers.
Warranty length varies by product line: Fit Collection is 5 years; Performance Rally, Beast, Beast Plus, Monster, Modzilla, and UltraTile are 10 years prorated; Motivate is 5 years. Common residential exclusions: petroleum exposure, vehicle-tire damage, and improper sub-floor moisture preparation. The original ECORE Warranty Guide (effective 8/1/2022, original purchaser) governs — your Commercial Fitness Advisor will flag the line-specific exclusions in writing on the quote so your GC or owner's rep has them on file before the floor goes down.
Yes — every ECORE Athletic product is manufactured in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and Performance lines support custom colors and water-jet-cut inlay. The Lancaster address appears on every Technical Data Sheet, which matters to AV-integrator and architect specs that call out country of origin and IAQ provenance. ECORE's manufacturing is also Buy American Act and BABA compliant — useful if your build touches federal financing.
For luxury-finish-level aesthetics: warm neutrals (greige, charcoal, taupe), darker greys that read more like finished interior than gym, accent inlays for the platform area or a family-name monogram. Custom colors run 5-7 weeks vs the 4-6 standard, and inlays/logos require a clean vector file (.AI / .EPS / .SVG) — there's no minimum order on inlay work and the per-unit price drops as quantity goes up. Note: custom-color and custom-inlay orders are non-returnable, so we'll get the design tight before production locks.
Standard ECORE rolls and tiles run 4-6 weeks; custom-color and water-jet inlay work runs 5-7 weeks. Lead estimates are listed on every quote, and we sequence the delivery date against your GC's construction schedule before you sign — drywall and paint complete, sub-floor inspected, AV pre-wire done — so the floor goes down at the right moment in the build. Quicker 1-3 day options exist depending on location, quantity, and color — ask your Commercial Fitness Advisor.
Freight is included as a line item on every quote (LTL with liftgate by default). If you have a forklift or loading dock, we'll quote a no-liftgate option to save you money. White-glove residential delivery and basement-access logistics are available by request as a separately-quoted line item — flag it on the form and we'll price it. Most freight, install, and (when requested) white-glove all bundle onto a single PO so your owner's rep handles one document, not five.
Yes — ECORE’s Heritage Motivate Performance Vinyl Tile (PVT) is the rubber-backed vinyl plank built for commercial spec. 6″ x 48″ planks pair a 2mm vinyl wear surface with a 5mm vulcanized composition rubber base, fusion-bonded at the factory on ECORE’s itsTRU technology. Same wood-look aesthetic as standard LVT, with built-in acoustic and ergonomic performance LVT can’t match. For premium home gyms, the rubber base is most useful for wood-look basements and lower-level builds that would otherwise default to LVT or laminate.
Read the full PVT vs LVT comparison at /pages/commercial-vinyl-plank-flooring — covers the 7-pillar comparison, the headline numbers (10.6% force absorption, IIC 56 built-in, 146% LVT loudness penalty, 21 mil wear layer), and which vertical contexts each format is rated for.
3 Pain Points for Home Gym Buyers
Public reviews of commercial flooring vendors show consistent failure modes — missed lead times, restocking-fee disputes on vendor errors, and warranty deflection from non-authorized resellers. These are universal across every commercial flooring vertical we serve, and the failure modes authorized-dealer status protects against.
On lead times
“Placed an order 11/19 that was supposed to ship 11/24-12/8. As of 12/13, it still hasn't shipped. This is for a commercial gym and the installer has us on his books starting tomorrow 12/14… Our new gym opens Jan 1 and we still don't have flooring! I of course can't get anyone on the phone.”

On vendor mistakes
“They sent me the wrong product, gave me 'you have to pay for shipping and a 25 percent restocking fee' for THEIR mistake, said this was a courtesy, and then claimed a clearly wrong order confirmation… that they sent me was part of a banner ad.”

On warranty disputes
“We started using the gym and noticed sharp metal pieces coming out of the flooring. We have pulled 19 twisted pieces of metal out of the flooring to date. They refuse to give me the manufacturer's name and after 2 months of back and forth, their solution was to tell me to apply a sealant. Laughable.”
